Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval — the Two Playable Protagonists
Lucia Caminos is the lead protagonist of GTA VI and the first named, playable female protagonist in the mainline GTA series. She is introduced at the start of Trailer 1 exiting Leonida State Penitentiary — establishing a criminal backstory and a freedom-to-rebuild narrative arc. In Trailer 2, she appears as the duo's strategic decision-maker: initiating plans, directing conversations, and leading the partnership.
Jason Duval is the co-protagonist, based in the Leonida Keys. His profile suggests coastal survival expertise, maritime smuggling, and tactical criminal operations. Rockstar has framed the duo with an explicit Bonnie & Clyde reference, presenting their relationship as both romantic and criminal. His standout Trailer 2 sequence shows him piloting a fast boat through Keys waters — his natural operational territory.
GTA VI returns to the multi-protagonist model introduced in GTA V (2013), but with a more tightly integrated duo. Unlike the relatively independent arcs of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin that converged mid-game, Lucia and Jason appear to operate as inseparable partners from the story's opening.
Confirmed Supporting Cast
Boobie Ike is Vice City's criminal-entrepreneur — street authority combined with legitimate business as cover, operating at the heart of the metropolitan underworld. Dre'Quan Priest runs in Vice City's music and entertainment scene, straddling the boundary between legal industry and criminal networks in the city's nightlife.
Real Dimez — the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy — represents the social media and streaming layer of Leonida: maximum public visibility paired with underworld connections. Cal Hampton is Jason's Keys contact, enabling coastal operations and discrete inter-island logistics.
Raul Bautista is the logistics specialist: complex heist planning, pressure-tested coordination, and a broad regional contact network. Brian Heder operates trafficking routes in the Keys corridor, completing the coastal criminal infrastructure around Jason. These eight characters constitute the full roster officially confirmed by Rockstar Games to date.
Dual Protagonist System and Complementary Perspectives
As in GTA V, players will be able to switch between both protagonists, offering two readings of the same criminal world. Lucia's urban mobility and social intelligence contrast with Jason's outdoor expertise and maritime capability — their combined skill sets cover all of Leonida's diverse geography.
Lucia's perspective introduces an angle unprecedented in the mainline GTA series — a female character's experience of Leonida's power structures, criminal networks, and social dynamics. This represents a genuine narrative expansion for a franchise that has been exclusively male-protagonist since GTA III in 2001.

Full confirmed roster with context
The confirmed roster includes two playable protagonists and six supporting characters — eight names total with varying levels of screen time in official trailers.
Lucia Caminos: lead protagonist, exits Leonida State Penitentiary at story start, tactical decision-maker of the duo. Jason Duval: co-protagonist, Keys-based maritime expert and criminal operator.
